word documents multiple printing

G

Guest

when attempting to print multiple "Word" documents (without first opening
them) I get a "Microsoft Visual Basic" message: "Ambiguous name detected:
Tmp DDE".
This is folled by additional messages and prompts: The global template has
been changed - Normal.dot - do you want to save the changes, etc.
What's this all about, please?

Hi Rick:

It means the documents you attempted to print have:

1) Got an attached template

2) The template has an auto-run macro

3) The macro can have only one copy running at a time.

When you open a batch like that, it gets very confused.

Look for and remove or disable either the macro or the template that
contains it.

If you do not understand the foregoing, check with your system administrator
before going any further: they may not be too happy with what comes next.

If you don't have a system administrator, get back to us and we'll explain
in more detail.

Cheers
