Word doc. on floppy disk

I have recently viewed doc. on a floppy disk. Now when I
try to view them i get an error stating, 'A:\' is not
accessible. The disk media is not recognized. It may not
be formatted. I know the disk is formatted because i
was able to view it yesterday. Please HELP these are
very important documents. Thanks Holly

Hi, Holly,

Copy the files from the floppy to your hard disk, and open them from
there.

When you try to open a Word document on a floppy disk, there may not
be enough room there for the temp files that Word requires. If that
happens, the document can actually become so badly trashed that you
can't open it even after you copy it to a hard disk. See
