Word doc in web asks for password

Hi

I have googled and found responses to this but no remedy apart from an
office SR-1 update. I was able until very recently to import the .doc into
my web and link to it. The file opened in the browser new window no probs
but now the user and password are aked for. There have been no changes to my
PC with WinXP Pro and Office 2000. My client has the same problem and he
never used to either. I expect I know the answer but I was really hoping
that there may be a fix..........anyone?

All users of MSO 2K need to install all SP (it's a bug fixed by the SP)

I guessed that would be it. What is annoying is the fact that it worked fine
until I put the last word doc on the site. May there be any reason for that?
