Word continues to use the same font after attempting to change.

I have tried to change the font in Word without luck the computer continues
to revert to Orbus Multiserif 48. Any help?
 
Can you provide more info? Are you talking about the default font? Are you
trying to change the font in a style? Are you just trying to change the
font at a particular spot? What style is in effect at that spot?
