Word as email editor error message

When trying to open word as the email editor in Outlook
2000 user gets the error message -

"This form requires word as your email editor, but word is
either busy or cannot be found"

There is a posting on the support site, but this does not
apply as we are not running two versions of word, or two
versions of any office product.

Any other ideas

And both Word & Outlook are the same version on your computer?
