Word 97 linking to Excel spreadsheet

Dear All

I am using Office 97!! And would like to know if there is a way in Word where a figure can be linked to an external Excel spreadsheet

Please advise

Copy to the clipboard in Excel, then in Word, use Edit>Paste Special and
paste as a Link.
