Word 97 - edit 2 documents at same time?

D

Don Culp

In Word 97, is there any way to edit two documents at the same time, with
both being shown at the same time? I have tried splitting the screen but
then can't figure out how to load the second document in the bottom window
while the first is still displayed in the top window. (What I need to do is
compare two documents that are similar but not identical.)

Alternately, what is the quick-key combination to switch to the most
recent Word window. This way I could quickly jump between the two
documents.

Thanks,
Don Culp

You can tile any two windows on the screen. Just open both documents in
Normal windows and drag the sides till you have them next to each other (or
one above the other if preferred).
