Word 2007 does not have the autocomplete function. You can type sufficient
of the autotext name to be unique (at least 4 characters) then press F3 to
insert. You may also find that autocorrect will do what you want - and
automatically.

In addition to what Graham has indicated about AutoComplete, you'll find the
AutoText feature (now each entry is a building block) on the Insert tab, in
the Text group by clicking Quick Parts and clicking Building Blocks Organizer
to display the Building Blocks Organizer gallery

To create an AutoText entry:
Select the text or graphics you want included in the new AutoText entry
(building block); to store paragraph formatting, include the paragraph mark ¶
in the selection; to store only the text and any direct font formatting or
formatting from a character style, omit the paragraph mark ¶

To display the Create New Building Block dialog box, press ALT+F3 or, on the
Insert tab, in the Text group, click Quick Parts and click Save Selection to
Quick Part gallery

Fill out the information in the Create New Building Block dialog box
NAME: Type a name for the building block (so you can use AutoComplete
effectively, make the name unique and preferably short names)
GALLERY (TYPE): It can be saved in any gallery you desire; you want AutoText
CATEGORY: The default, General, should be OK
DESCRIPTION: Type a description if you wish
SAVE IN (TEMPLATE): Click the name of the template in the drop-down list; a
template must be open to be displayed in the drop-down list of template
names; by default your bulding blocks are saved in the Building Blocks.dotx
template but can be saved in the Normal template or the attached document
template, if different, by making the selection in the Save in drop-down list
box
OPTIONS (BEHAVIOR): From the Options drop-down list box -- either select
Insert in own paragraph to make the text into its own paragraph, even if the
insertion point is in the middle of a paragraph or select Insert content only
for all other text and graphics
Click OK

To insert an AutoText entry:
If you've used a short, unique name, follow Graham's instructions
Alternatively, you can insert the AutoText from the Building Blocks gallery
(Insert tab, Text group, Quick Parts, Building Blocks Organizer)
