Word 2007

I'm testing my installation of the Office 2007 Compatibility Pack to see if
it now works with Word 2002. Have now discovered officially that the
Compatibility Pack wont open Word documents created with the Office 2007
Beta. Want to make sure it works OK with a Word document created under the
final release Office 2007.

Could some kind person give me a link please to a .docx word document
created with the final release - the only ones I've found doing a Google
search are ones created under the beta which just generate an error message
when you try to open them in Word 2002.

Did you look on Microsoft's website? There may be some sort of white paper
in that format.

Thanks for replying but I'm afraid IE7 won't allow download - "unable to find
site/site unavailable".

Simon, I changed it to a zip file. I asked on the FrontPage newsgroup why the
file wouldn't download, they seem to think it is the docx extension.

Very many thanks for your time and help, Mary. Your change worked and I was
able to read the .docx with Word 2002 and the compatibility pack. I know
it's not a major issue but it's good to understand how things work.
