Word 2007: Where is Normal.dotm

Hi all,

Word 2007:
I'd like to change the template for new documents. According to Word
Help this file is now called Normal.dotm, but I cannot find it
anywhere on my harddisk. I also searched hidden files.

But when I try to save a new Normal.dotm then Word replies with an
error message like 'Cannot save with the name of an open document' or
so.

So where is this Normal.dotm???

G'Day Oscar,

It is located in the default 'User templates' location.

Office Button>Word Options
Advanced (Left pane)
File Locations... (button - at the bottom of the Right-hand pane)
User Templates (inspect the value)

I have changed mine and cannot remember what it was, but I think it was:
C:\Documents and Settings\<UserName>\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates
