Word 2007, no menu, no ribbon

John Smith

Suddenly, the menu (home, view, etc) and the ribbon are gone. On the
very top of the window is the file name followed by "-Microsoft Word".
And they appear on the left corner, not in the middle. Right below it is
the ruler. I cannot cut and paste, find and replace, nor can I save or
change fonts. Does anybody know how to fix this?

Did you activate the product?

Could it be an expired trial version (in which case you will have to buy a
full version)?

My Word 2007 had been working for six months before the problem began.
Mine is not a trial version.

Have you gotten into Full Screen Reading view? If so click the button
labeled XClose at the right end of the view's toolbar.
