Word 2007: Last line missing on printout (sometimes)

K

KenB

I have been using Word 2007 for several months and have a continueing,
sporadic problem. When printing a document the last line prints only the
very top of the information. You can see perhaps the top 1/10th of the line,
not enough to make out the words. The document looks fine in print preview!
The only way I have found to work around this is to put a couple of extra
lines at the end of the document and then add something like a underscore or
a dash that is not too obvious when the document prints. (Just adding the
extra line will not fix the issue)
The reason I am now looking for help, I have a document doing the same thing
but it varies from print to print. One printout will be fine and the next
cuts off the bottom line? I am using a networked HP model C7280 printer. I
realize the issue could also be in the printer but can't find any information
on that either.
I have played with all the settings I can find such as page layout,
paragraph settings and nothing seems to work.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

tough one.

Does this last line problem happen only to the very last line of your
body text? Or to something in your footer? It does not happen only when
the text is "low" on the page?

Has it ever happened to another type of print job (from Excel, PDF, etc.)?
