Word 2007 - cursor has 'wings' - how remove

A

Ahscot

I have XP. In Word 97-2003, I could remove the wings, which were a regular
visitor, by unticking in Options somewhere 'click and type', I think it
was. In 2007, I cannot find any similar command. Re the document where
this is happening, Properties does not say if it is a 2007 or 97-2003
document, so I assume it is 2007. When I minimize the toolbar, the wings
appear, when I do not, they do not. Advice gratefully received.

Click on the Office button, then on Word Options in the bottom border of the
dialog and then on Advanced and you will find "Enable click and type under
the Editing Options section (the first section of the dialog).
