Does anyone know how to rotate a text box and its text (I need to rotate some
text to around 45 degrees). It appears you cannot rotate a text box like
that. If I utilise a "rectangle" and add text, only the box will rotate and
the text stays where it is.

Although the best results are obtained in a graphic design program here are
2 options:

1- Use WordArt to create a text object which can be freely rotated, or

2- Create a shape in PowerPoint, rotate it, then copy/paste into the doc.
