Word 2003 - Propagated Labels - Alignment

I just created some mailing labels from a mail merge (Excel 2003
spreadsheet). However, the first line is indented one space. Why is this?
It is not apparent in the spreadsheet and I just hate to go through 300
labels manually to take out this one space.
 
I would guess that you had a space before the first merge field in your mail
merge main document. Remove it and rerun the merge.

Wish it was that easy - no space there.
