Word 2003 & PDFMaker

I have Word 2003 SP3 and Adobe Pro 8.1. On October 22nd I suddenly cannot
use the PDF covert at all. The icons are gone from the toolbar, and if the
addin is enabled, a runtime error pops on WORD startup. "C:/Program
Files\Microsoft Ofice\OFFICE11\WinWord.exe". The next start of WORD states
that "acrobat pdfmaker office addin.dll will be disabled in order for Word to
function." I have automatic updates set for this system and assume it was an
update that changed settings. I have done all the solutions listed in the
Knowledge Base for this issue. Any solutions would be appreciated.

If you have not updated Acrobat to 8.1.2 then do so.

I updated to 8.1.2 with all the security, etc. The pdfmofficeaddin.dll still
causes problems with WORD when enabled.

It sounds as though it is conflicting with something - maybe another add-in.
Repair Office and Acrobat then work through the troubleshooting tips at

http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ProblemsStartingWord.htm. to attempt to
locate the problem

I replaced the normal.dot with one from another system. All is working now.
