pdfmaker toolbar missing in Outlook 2003

Hi,

I have users running XP Pro with Office Small Business 2003 with SBS 2003
server. I have some users at this point that doesn't have pdfmaker toolbar
in their Outlook 2003 but appear in Word 2003. We have Adobe Standard 6.0.
As per the user, they had it but now the pdfmaker is missing from outlook
2003. However in the mean time they can print to Adobe PDF from "File" menu
on top left and select "Print" then selecting "Adobe PDF" to email file to
pdf. How can I enable or get the pdfmaker back on Outlook 2003. Word and I
believe Excel has pdfmaker toolbar appear.

Thank You,
Ankur

The add-in is either not installed or has been marked as inactive.
Tools-> Options-> tab Other-> button Advanced Options-> buttons COM Add-ins
and Add-in Manager

Here verify the setting with a working clients and make the necessary
modifications.

Hi Roady,

Before you replied, I did the following steps:
I checked the disabled item and nothing was listed. then I checked in
"Add-In Manager" and "COM Add-Ins" and didn't see pdfmaker or something like
that. I even tried to add "PDFMOultook.dll" in "COM Add-Ins" from Adobe
folder and that didn't get added. Then I removed "OutlVisible" key or
changed the data value to 0 and rebooted the PC. But that didn't do
anything, so I restore the registry that I backed up. I even reinstalled
Adobe Standard 6 and the whole office in the beginning. Hope someone has
another solution for this.

Thanks,
Ankur

HI,

I have exactly the same problem here.
It started just one and a half month ago or something.
I think it started after massively installing SP3, or it could have
started after I set signatures via VBS/KIX automaticly.
Do you already have a solution Ankur?

Greeting,
Koen

P.s. Somethimes pdf maker apears after opening word and acrobat.

Hi
I don't know the solution but the problem seems related to my own. There seems to some conflict between Outlook and Word. If I have Outlook open (whether or not I have Word set as an email editor) the pdf toolbar in Word does not appear but if Outlook is not open the toolbar shows and works as normal (Excel is also affected). I can find no solution but I can either print to the distiller or close down Outlook.

Hello,

Any solution ever located? I have a client with the same problem. All users of Acrobat 6, button disappeared completely. The one Acrobat 8 user had it in the Help, About, Disabled Add-ins.

Thanks in advance,

Arvis
