Word 2003 does not remembers Spelling & Grammar Setting

I'm working in Word 2003 and I have tried to set the following options to ON
in the Spelling & Grammar tab "Ignore word in Uppercase," and "Ignore words
with numbers," however, the options keep going back to OFF.

I have tried the following: renamed the normal.dot and let word
create a new one, I ran Detect and Repair, I checked for any template
add-ins, I made the changes on the Normal.dot and Word keeps turning the
features to OFF, even reinstalled the Spelling & Grammar module, but problem
still persists.

How do I get Word to remember the options that I've set????

Please HELP!!! (Am I going crazy?)

Possibly there is a glitch in the Word Data key such that it is not holding
the Options settings; see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/MissingMenusEtc.htm.

If rebuilding the key doesn't solve the problem, it is most likely caused by
an add-in.
