I can't seem to find a good solution to protect parts of a letterhead
stationary where the company logo and other marking from change while still
allowing users to format freelay. Here's what I've tried:
ATTEMPT 1:
I put this info in the header, created a section break. In Protect Document,
Limit formatting to a selection of styles in UNCHECKED. Editing Retrictions
is set to FILLING IN FORMS. After starting enforcement, many common commands
are not available (bullets & numbering, borders & shading, caption, etc. This
is not acceptable.
ATTEMPT 2:
Formatted the logo/address with a new style called ProtectedText. Under
Formatting Restrictions, Alllow Only this type of editing in the document is
set to NO CHANGES READ ONLY. Exceptions is set to EVERYONE. Now, practically
all formatting commands are not available. This is definately not acceptable
either. I see that a user can change formatting using Styles, but sadly, many
of our users don't use styles and apply formatting locally.
At wits end, can someone suggest anything!
