In Outlook 2003, I set my e-mail editor as Word 2003, but when I close
Outlook 2003 and reopen, the box I checked is not saved. How do I set Word
2003 as my default editor for future use?

Hi Ric,
Select Tools | Options from the menu in Outlook.
Click on the Mail Format tab.
Make sure the Use Microsoft Office Word 2003 to edit e-mail messages
checkbox is selected.
In versions before Outlook 2003, the text reads Use Microsoft Word to edit
e-mail messages.
Close the dialog.
And please check in the Internet Explorer TOOLS | INTERNETOPTIONS |
PROGRAMMS if your HTML Editor is still Word

Thanks for the input. I have done all of this. If I select the checkbox and
continue working in Outlook, Word remains my e-mail editor. The problem
comes when I close Outlook and go back into it. The checkbox is no longer
selected, but TOOLS | INTERNETOPTIONS |> PROGRAMMS is still HTML Editor is
Word
