Word 2003 - Creating “sections†that are not locked in a Word form

Good Day;

I tried to post this before, but have not see it yet. I will try again. I
think I waited long enough

In word 2000 I was able to create “sections†of a form that I could exclude
from being locked. I can not seem to find a way of doing this in Word 2003.
This is what I am trying to do.

I have created a from that also includes some instructions. Included in the
instructions is an e-mail link. When I lock the form, I am not able to use
the e-mail link.

Any suggestions?

Thanks All

Hello All;

I have determined how to add an e-mail (sort of) button. I just created a
text form field and added the hyperlink. When I locked the form I was still
able to use the link.

Still have not figured out the "section" part

In Word 2000, the Tools > Protect Document command opened a dialog in which
there was a Sections button to let you remove protection from specific
sections. In Word 2003, that command opens a task pane. After you set the
dropdown for "Filling in forms", and only if the document contains two or
more sections (separated by section breaks), there will be a blue "Select
sections" link below the dropdown. Click that link to get the dialog where
you can uncheck sections that you don't want to protect.

Thanks Jay.
Now to work around the sections as I am trying to add an Excel spreedsheet
that will load when clicked.

Thanks Again
