Word 2003: Auto Text Problems

Guest

Okay when I click on Insert/Auto Text and move my cursor down over "closing"
"header/footer" "normal", etc none of the auto texts is there. They are all
empty. However, I can find them when I click insert/auto text/auto text - I
am them given a long list of all auto text that should be in the easier to
use drop down menus. Can anyone help?

Absence of AutoText entries often indicates that you have saved a document
as Normal.dot.

I renamed my normal.dot as oldnormal.dot and rebooted my system, my computer
automatically recreated a new normal.dot and that has not helped my problem.
Any other suggestions?
