word 2003 all docs open within one window - how2fix?

Since updating to Word 2003, all documents open within one
instance of Word (they all open within the Word window).

Previously with Word 2000, each doc opened in its own
window, not crammed into one Word window.

Please tell me there's a way to get Word 2003 to behave
like Word 2000 so I can get back to working with documents
in windows, instead of documents in windows within a
window.

In Word, click on Tools | Options | View | check the "Windows in
Taskbar" box | OK.
