convert all saved .doc to .docx

Is there any way to convert all my saved Word documents from the 2003 format
(.doc) to the 2007 format (.docx) or do I have to open each one and resave?

Since Word 2007 can open, edit, and save in both formats, it isn't necessary
to convert them all at once. Just convert each one as you open it for some
other purpose.

However, if you're determined to do it, there is a tool you can download
from Microsoft. See
