word 2000 printing exta blank pages

How can I get word 2000 to stop printing blank pages.
If I have a one page job, I press print....and an extra
page or two, or three are printed.......help

Dale,
did you check to see if you have extra blank lines at the
end of the document -- you can try deleting those. (just
hit "Page Down" until you get to the very end of the
document, then "backspace" until you get to the end of the
text.)

If it's not that, maybe check for extra page breaks.
Try changing the "View" to "Normal" (if you're in "Page
Layout" you might not see these). The dotted lines are
page breaks and a blank page will print between each one.
(if they say "Page Break" in the middle, they were
inserted into the document. if they're just dotted lines,
they're automatic.) You can delete them if you select
them and hit "Delete."

If that doesn't work, try going to "File -> Print
Preview". there's a ruler on the side -- put your cursor
at the bottom of the ruler and a double-arrow appears.
Then you can change the bottom margin so that your
document fits on one page.
