Word 2000 on win2003 term serv. Need to open twice

I have a win2003 terminal server with word 2000 installed.
Every time a client opens Word, the "please wait...configures.." box
appears. I have installed Word with the orktools from Microsoft.

Another bigger problem is when the client opens a word document from
Lotus Notes, the Word application opens, but not the document, but if i
minimize the word app, and then try to open the document, it works. But
only if the Word application is open (minimized).

Any ideas on how to get passed this error?
