Word 2000 is now 2003 somehow but what happened?

I have Microsoft Office Word and Excel 2000 loaded. The trial Microsoft
Office expired. My Word 2000 is now 2003 which I did not convert to. Can
view my documents but cannot edit. Does anyone know I can get back the 2000?

Uninstall the trial version. You must have told the trial version to upgrade
rather than have it installed in a separate directory.

I failed to mention that my disc for Word 2000 is ruined and had to borrow
one to at least get Word and Excel loaded

You'll have to reinstall Office 2000 after uninstalling the trial
version. To replace the damaged disk, see

They are no longer replacing Office 2000 CDs. The oldest you can get is
Office XP.
