Won't Stay Up

Bruce

When I start Windows XP it gives no error messages but
shuts right back down. It won't stay running at all. I
can't even restory it because it won't stay up long.

Any insite?

Right click on "My Computer"
Choose properties from the drop down menu.
in the pop up window that appears choose the advanced tab
select the third button on the bottom which says Settings in the Startup and Recovery.
Uncheck this box "Automatically restart" in case of system failure.
Now when the computer shuts down it will display the blue screen with the error number.
