Won't save

Windows XP SP3

When trying to save the "Windows can't save, check location" etc comes up,
done all that, still happens.

I am using avi and divx files which I have used before and they have saved
no problem.

The EXACT same files, or different files but of the same *container* format?
(.avi, .divx)

and they have saved no problem.

IF they're *different* files of the same format(s) it's probably a codec
issue. Not all .avi are created using the same codecs.

DIVX, unless I'm mistaken (and I could well be) is more-or-less just a
highly compressed version of .mpeg-4, and will almost certainly NOT work
with WMM unless you convert it/them to something else.

FWIW? MPEG-2 is the only vesion of MPEG my version of WMM will work with at
ALL. And even those are sometimes sketchy.

it'll be the files, dv.avi is the only avi that works well, convert
everything else to wmv and try again.
