wont open attachments

Can someone help me ? When i click on an attached file ,
outlook will not let me open the attachment. Instead of
being black font it is light gray as if it isnt really
there?????
please someone help me
 
Tools, Options, Security. Uncheck the box marked "don't let attachments..."
