My XP home edition won't boot. When I turn my computer on
I get a message "disk boot failure please insert system
disk and press enter"

I did not get a system disk with my computer, only a
product recovery disk. I tried pressing F8 while it was
booting but did not get the Windows menu.

Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Chester

Have you tried booting from your product recovery disk?
It sounds to me like you need to reinstall Windows, which
you should be able to do from there.
