Won't Boot

I used PartitionMagic to increase the size of the partition on which WinXP
Home was installed. Now the system will not boot from hard disk. As per a
Microsoft Knowledge Base article, I made a boot floppy, and it will boot
from there. Does anyone know how to get it to boot from the C: drive again?
Specifically, if I formatted the C: drive and then copied Ntldr,
NtDetect.com, and boot.ini to it, first before anything else, would it then
boot from C:?

Curious. Was the system in fat32 and did you make the partition larger
than 132 gigs and is your OS XP original?

Well if you do that your data is "gone". If you do that why not just
install xp fresh?
