I have XP Pro and whenever I press the power button, a red light flashes. It
doesn't blink or anything like that. It doesn't even have an internet
connection so it cant be a virus. The light will just stay there. Nothing
happens. Help will be appreciated.

A red light...on what? Computer? Monitor? UPS? Something else? If you
know the make and model number of the piece of equipment showing the red
light, you can contact the manufacturer and ask what it means.

If you press the power button on your computer and you hear no sound at
all and nothing is turned on then it means that your computer is not
receiving power. It might be due to a loose plug, a bad power supply, a
blown motherboard, a circuit breaker in your house, among other things.

Sorry I didn't specify that. It's the power light that's red. I hear the
humming sound it always makes, but nothing happens. Once (And once only) I
left it off about a week and then when I tried to turn it on again,
everything worked fine. But now it's back to where it was.
