won't automatically repeat 1 item already entered in column?

I have a column of text but one item only will not automatically repeat, any
suggestions as to why?
 
How are you repeating the text? Are you using
Format -> Format Cell -> Alignment -> Horizontal -> Fill
or are you using some other method???
 
Are you talling about "Autocomplete"?

Is the item within a contiguous range above or below the point at which you are
typing?

Does the item have a preceding <space> ?
