My windows media player will not connect to the internet. Ive selected every
option I could find to tell it to connect to the internet but doesnt work.
My firewall is not blocking it. Ive gone through and made sure that it was
allowed access to the internet and even deleted the rule so that it would ask
me again but it's not even asking me if it can have access now. I guess cause
its not trying to connect. it started happening when I upgraded to wmp 10. I
couldnt get it to work then I upgraded to 11 hoping it might fix it but still
the same problem.

I can not stream video, audio, get information on cds when I enter them into
a drive, or anything else that has to do with wmp and the internet.

it will be greatly appreciated if somebody has any ideas.

thanks for you time

wow thanks a lot. I've looked at that page so many times and had no luck but
I somehow managed to look over the running the icwconn1.exe part. that did
the trick. thanks a bunch for your help. btw I am running IE7 beta 2 and I
think I probally installed that around the same time so that mightve had
something to do with it but im not exactly sure if it did.

thanks again
