WMP and media streams

If I use the mms:// to listen to my favorite station, it
opens in WMP10, but the connection will hang after several
hours. If I use the rstp:// version with the same URL in
WMP10, it plays fine and will do so for days.

The problem lies in getting there. If I try to open from
RUN, it opens in wmp6.4 (mplayer2). I have tried the options
in both players to have mplayer2 not open it and wmp10 is
set for all streams. Nonetheless, mplayer2 opens everytime
and crashes.

How do I get the default to goto wmp10?
