WMP 11 100% CPU

Whenever I use WMP11 to view a clip and then close it the CPU usage hangs at
95%+ CPU Usage according to Performace applet. I terminate media player
process and all returns to normal. How do I get media player to release
itself from taking all the CPU usage?

Suggestions:

1. Disable thumbnail view by going to Start/Run/CMD: regsvr32 /u
shmedia.dll
2. And/or run this edit. This edit prevents high usage when browsing AVI
files.

It looks like WMP 11 attempts to update it's library database everytime it
starts. So
if you have alot of songs in your collection your whole system bottlenecks
until WMP 11 has completed its check.

Try this on WMP click Tools > Options... > Privacy tab, uncheck the boxes
except Set clock on devices automatically and Save file and URL and history
in the player.

Another is to change your rip folder to one with nothing, or very little in
and
also make sure that you aren't monitoring any other folders with alot of
media in.
