WMI - Access denied?

Installed Symantec PCAnywhere 10.5, then removed it. (It
killed my ATI Radeon VE drivers).

Since then, I am unable to access WMI on remote machines.
This problem only exists on my machine. It worked
yesterday. Now I get a long message saying 'connection
could not be established'.

Reinstalled Win2k SP4...not fixed

I can access local WMI info, but not from remote machines.

Using the same domain user account, I can access WMI on
remote machines IF I do this from any other machine on our
network.

I'm seconds from wiping this machines HD and reinstalling,
but I'd save about 6 hours wasted time if someone could
tell me what might have gone wrong.

Resinstalled Windows 2000, taking the 'upgrade' option.
My system is back, operational, and able to access WMI on
remote systems.

Also had to reinstall W2k_sp4, and IE6_SP1, but much less
painless than reinstalling machine from scratch.

Still don't know exactly what caused this, but I think its
fairly safe to assume Symantc PCAnywhere 10.5 replaced
something (a DLL related to WMI?) that it shouldn't have.
