PDA: HP - iPAQ hx2795
Desktop: AMD 64-bit processor; 4 GB RAM
Windows Vista Ultimate - 64-bit version - Clean install
Office 2007 - Ultimate - Clean install
I've installed the latest version of WMDC - 64-bit version.
The only firewall I use is the built-in firewall. Naturally, since this is
Vista, Windows Defender is installed. I am NOT using OneCare.
I have turned off the firewall, Defender and anything else I can think of.
When I hook-up the hx2795 in the cradle, WMDC recognizes it, allows me to set
up a partnership, allows me to adjust the settings. If I look in My
Computer, the PDA is there and I can access it and read the files off of it.
However, whenever I try to sync my devices, I always get this error message:
"Synchronization cannot be started because you are not able to log on to the
network and access information. Restatt your desktop computer and synchronize
again. If the problem persists, contact your network administrator."
Naturally, rebooting doesn't do a thing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled ad
nausem and I've renamed the device - no difference.
Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. What's the sense of
having the PDA if I can't sync it?
