WMA TO MP3 VS. MP3 TO WMA

I am having problems with just the opposite .... I'm trying to convert to
WMA which reduces size of song, and store my MP3's to discs, trying to free
up drive space ... I had been using a feature that did this a couple of
weeks ago, but I can't backtrack and locate it. I tried the Google search,
and all I got was priced software for this, or trialware.
I was changing my music to WMA to convert to a much lower size, and then
store MP3's on disc -- to free up some space on the hard drive.
I have searched everywhere trying to get back to the point where I was able
to do this.

Any help with this?
