Converting MP3 to WMA

Hello
I'm hoping for some help with this problem. I have literally spent ALL day
trying to relocate the point, about 2 weeks ago, where I was able to go to my
list of MP3's that I had downloaded, and go to each song, and the drop=down
list gave this as an option -- the advantage being that it cut the size of
the mp3 about in half, but did not delete the mp3. I was going to save the
mp3's to discs and cut down on hardrive use.
I have been everywhere trying to see where that utility was because it is no
longer in use.
I have searched EVERYWHERE, and even tried web searches .. all that led me
to was a trial version Power MP3 WMA Converter, which has a limited Shareware.
I was going to spend my only day off this week trying to resume this project.
If anyone can offer any solutions or advice on locating the program I had
been working with, it would be fantastic.
I am currently using Windows Media Player 10, and XP SP-2.

Thanks for any assistance or suggestions.

This may not be the tool you were using before, but you could use
dBpowerAMP Music Converter (freeware) with the wma codec from their codec
downloads page: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm It won't take you all
day to convert your mp3s to wma and then burn the mp3s to CD-R, if that's
what you really want to do.

Ionizer ....
Thanks for your reply.
When I try that website, I get the 404 error that says can't find that page.
I tried both clicking on your site in your text, and manually in the address
box.
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks

I'm not sure what the problem is there, Amber. I just clicked on the link
in my post and it worked fine for me. The main site is here:
http://www.dbpoweramp.com There, you'll see a link to the Music Converter
near the top of the page.

Let me know,
Ian.
