WM 5.0.0381 upgrade from 4.7.2009

I've just upgraded and lost my ability to txt mobile phones.

Is this to be expected?

Yes, this functionality is part of MSN Mobile, which starting with Windows Messenger 5, has
moved exclusively to MSN Messenger.

You can get it back either by installing MSN Messenger (http://messenger.msn.com/Download) or
by using Windows Messenger 4.7 instead. To do so, click Start, then Run, type (or
copy/paste) the following:
msiexec.exe /x {ABEB838C-A1A7-4C5D-B7E1-8B4314B10138}
and then click OK.

Then, you can reinstall Windows Messenger 4.7 from here:

After installing Windows Messenger 4.7, you'll need the MSN Add-In (Add-Ins are not supported
in Windows Messenger 5):
