.wks to .xls

Any ideas please for opening old .wks Works spreadsheets in Excel and saving
them as .xls?

Generally you would normally open the file in WORKS and then save it
down as a file that Excel can read. .xlr is a native Excel format, or
..txt, .csv, dbaseIV are all formats it can read. You can also find a
converter here if you don't have WORKS.

Excel has that capability built in. In the Open file dialog go through
the file types list. Open the file then Save As and use the Excel file
format.
