When I boot up I get a error message that says:

WJView:
Error: Couldn't execute main. The system cannot find
the file specified.

What can I do to resolve this issue?

Hi Tim,

The error may happens if the windows XP is configured
to run a Java application on startup through the WJView
program.

To resolve the mentioned problem, please follow the
instructions below:

Step 1) Goto Start | Run, type "msconfig.exe"
(without the quotation marks) and then click "OK".
Step 2) Click the "Startup" tab, and click to clear
all WJView.exe check boxes that may be in the "Startup"
list. Then click "OK"

Step 3) Goto Start | Run, type "regedit" (without the
quotation marks), and then click "OK".
Locate the following key in the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersi
on\Run

Step 4) Goto File | Export, select a location to save
the file, name it Run1, and then click Save.
Step 5) Look through the sub keys under Run and then
click to select those that contain WJView.exe.
Step 6) On the "Edit" menu, click "Delete".
Step 7) Next, locate and then click the following key
in the registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersio
n\Run

Step 8) Click File | Export, select a location to
save the file, name it Run2, and then click Save.
Step 9) Look through the sub keys under Run and then
click to select those that contain WJView.exe.
On the "Edit" menu, click "Delete" for each sub key.

Hope the given information helps.

Hi Tim,

Wjview: Remove the runkey from here:

Start/Run/Regedit

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current
Version\Run

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current
Version\Run

To verify your version, go to Start/Run and type in: wjview

MS JVM Version 3809
http://tinyurl.com/fwvu

MS JVM Version 3810
http://tinyurl.com/fwty

Once 3809 is installed you can get the Update 3810 - 816093
