Wizards went away!!!

I went to put a Command button on a form; and after dragging to the
button's new location, I expected a wizard to automatically pop up.

The Wizard button was/is depressed... but nothing happened.

I went back to the Forms screen and double clicked on the Create Form
Wizard. Nada, nothing! No Wizard.

Same for Tables & Queries... anything I try, no Wizards.

I tried the M/S Knowledge base... couldn't find anything.

Reloaded Office 2000... nothing. Removed & Reloaded... nothing.

Tried 'Repair'... it goes through the motions of doing something for
several minutes... but still no Access 2000 Wizards.

acwzusr.mdt & acwzdat.mdt are in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office.

acwzmain.mde, acwzlib.mde, and acwztool.mde are in C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\Office\1033.

I copied main, lib, & tool up to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office.

Still nothing! Aaarrgh!

I'm at my wits end. Could I have a corrupt key in RegEdit, what???

I don't know how you found *EXACTLY* the reference I needed, but in any
event, I am immensely grateful!!!

Thank you, M.L. Scofield. I've got the Wizards back; and I know what to
do in the future, should the situation arise again.

Thanx for the wish of 'Good luck'! (it seems to have worked?!?)

Take a look at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;242218 and see if
anything there helps.

Also, make sure you have *all* of the Windows, Office 2000, and Jet service
packs and patches installed?

Good luck.
