wireless zero configuration

I formerly had a wireless PCI network adapter that quit
working, so I am trying to switch to a usb wireless
network adapter. That driver needs to have MS 'Wireless
Zero Configuration' service active and running, but it is
nowhere to be found on my XP Home edition. How do I get
it back?
