If you are rferring to a firewall I recomend SP2 rc1 for Windows XP. I went to the Windows Security Summit and learned first hand wht it can do. If you are connected to the internet by broadband and do window updates, when you restart the computer the firewall from Microsoft will start as soon as the machine powers back on. You do not have to wait for the application to load. It also features spam blocker and popup blocker. It works quite well and I do not have the annoying popups.Thats all I know.Hope that helps.
The most important component of wireless protection is encryption.
If your wireless stuff supports it, use WPA; if not, use WEP with
the most number of bits supported by your stuff. And, with WPA or
WEP, change your PassThings from time to time: your router has
a SSID and a login password and a WPA/WEP passkey, and each
wireless PC has at least that number of PassThings.
