Wireless problems with Windows Vista Home Premium

Hi,
I have an HP Pavilion dv6244ea with an Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945
802.11a/b/g Integrated Wireless LAN. I cannot connect to my Wireless
ADSL Router D-Link DSL-G624T: Windows Vista, in the Network Event
Viewer return a problem with the 802.11 wireless: error code 12: the
network had refused the computer credential. Where is the problem? On
the router, I have correctly reserved an IP to my laptop with the MAC
Address associated to it. On the client, I have checked dynamic DHCP
and DNS.
Perhaps I have to disable the IPv6 protocol on the wireless network
card?
Note that my Windows XP pc desktop with an USB D-Link wireless
adapter, all works fine!!!
Please help me!!!
Thank you,
Paolino

In control panel/network sharing make sure settings are correct for your
small peer to peer network. The default settings are such that most network
functions are turned off. This is the Microsoft version of security: if
computers can't network they can't infect each other. I am not joking about
this as the multiple idiot warning boxes in Vista are there for exactly the
same reason: if you click no, and never perform a file operation, you cannot
install a bad file.
Presuming you have your security key installed properly on your Vista
wireless computer and all other settings are correct and you still cannot
connect there is one guaranteed to work option.
Dump Vista and install XP.
Your problems will be solved, your computer will be faster, and you can
perform actual work instead of twiddling with a defective OS.

Yes, try to disable the IPv6. If that doesn't work, try to assign IP manually. Or this link may help,
