Hello,

I am going to be installing a 6 client network in a small
office in about 2 weeks. The office has no existing CAT5
cable and running it would be difficult. For this reason,
I would like to install a wireless network. Clients on
this network would use a wireless router to access a high-
speed internet connection to access a W2K Terminal Server
physically located at a different office.

I have been searching the internet the last few days for
evidence that a wireless client can print to a wireless
printer from a Terminal Server session. Knowing the
difficulty that is sometimes encountered configuring a
Terminal Server client to print to a local or 'wired'
printer, I am not sure I want to attempt this if it is
even possible, however, we don't really want to purchase
6 printers either.

Any comments about printing to a wireless printer from a
wireless Terminal Server session would be greatly
apreciated.

It'll work. You can either connect to the wireless
printer from the terminal server or connect to the printer
before you connect to the TS session, and then have the
terminal server redirect the printer.

OK, here is my experience.

Linksys wireless access point.
Linksys PCMCIA wireless cards for laptops.
Linksys wireless bridge
HP print server

This is provided the printer has to sit in a wireless
location as well. If not just put it either next to the
server or on the print server connected to the access
point, of course access point must be attached with a
cable to the server.

If wireless printing is needed it will help to actually
capture the LPT2 port from HP jetadmin.

works like a charm
