Wireless Optical Desktop for Bluetooth

Does this ONLY work for Windows XP?

I am interested in getting this set, but there is not a
chance in this universe that I would ever install XP on my
machine.

I know for a fact that Bluetooth is not an XP only
technology, and have happily used Bluetooth devices on
Win98, Win98SE and Win 2000.

Can anyone enlighten me, please?
 
Microsoft doesn't supply any drivers for operating systems other than
Windows XP (at this time) for the abovementioned product.

Others have reported varying degrees of success using other drivers, but of
course, this is unsupported and YMMV
